The 2017 Hyundai Sonata SE delivers a sophisticated combination of modern style, practical efficiency, and thoughtful daily comfort. Finished in striking Phantom Black, this 4-door midsize sedan features a well-designed exterior complemented by smooth lines and a rear lip spoiler. Inside, the spacious cabin is lined with Gray Yes Essentials cloth upholstery, offering a clean aesthetic that stands up to daily wear. Built to make routine drives easier and more economical, this sedan is a fantastic choice for quiet daily commutes through Charleston thanks to its EPA-estimated 36 MPG highway performance. Explore our wide inventory of pre-owned sedans to see how this reliable model can elevate your daily driving routine.

    Performance & Capability

Under the hood, the 2017 Hyundai Sonata SE is powered by a 2.4L I-4 direct injection, DOHC, D-CVVT variable valve control engine that produces 185HP on regular gasoline. This smooth powertrain pairs with a 6-speed automatic transmission featuring SHIFTRONIC sequential shift control and overdrive. Front-wheel drive provides confident traction across changing road conditions, while the Active Eco selectable mode transmission optimizes gear shifts to help maximize fuel efficiency, achieving 25 MPG city and 36 MPG highway ratings.

Underneath, the chassis utilizes an independent strut front suspension with coil springs and a multi-link rear suspension with coil springs, supported by gas-pressurized shock absorbers and front and rear anti-roll bars. Rolling on 16 x 6.5-inch aluminum alloy wheels with P205/65R16 all-season tires, this sedan offers a smooth, controlled ride. Stopping power is handled by 4-wheel disc brakes featuring 4-wheel ABS, brake assist, front ventilated discs, and Hillstart Assist Control for added control on inclines.

    Technology & Connectivity

Staying connected on the go is straightforward in the 2017 Hyundai Sonata SE. The center console features a primary 7-inch touchscreen display equipped with Apple CarPlay & Android Auto smart device integration, allowing you to access navigation, playlists, and messaging apps directly from your phone.

A 6-speaker audio system delivers clear sound, supported by Bluetooth handsfree wireless connectivity and wireless audio streaming. Additional input options include an auxiliary input jack, a USB port, and AM/FM/SiriusXM satellite radio capability. Drivers can manage audio settings without taking their hands off the wheel using the steering wheel mounted audio controls. A 3.5-inch analog instrumentation display keeps crucial vehicle data visible, while a clear back-up camera provides additional visibility when reversing out of driveways or tight spaces. Blue Link emergency SOS capability adds extra reassurance for every journey.
